A Jewel Among the Jewels

To beat the heat we were having dinner on our patio when our flamboyant guest arrived.

He landed on our outdoor chandelier and commenced washing his face--a very tidy guest at that. I managed to get this photo of him with my camera phone.

I laughed at the reference of being a tidy guest, and that photo is very lovely, he wanted his picture to be taken.

Ms. S !!
Girl how true is this name for your post : ) They are such beautiful creatures, to be able to catch a wonderful picture like this is amazing. Have you ever seen the documentary "Sky Hunters" ?
It is about dragonflies and is totally fascinating.

Love how the crystal sparkles right through his wings, at first I couldn't quite tell what I was looking at. Wonder if he/she saw their image reflected back at them?

What a unique thing to happen -- no one has ever photographed a dragon fly sitting atop a lovely chandelier! Good thing your camera was handy!
