The landscapers are here, the landscapers are here!

My beloved garden is torn to bits right now, but all in a good cause (I hope!)

The moving and expansion of our cobblestone patio has the garden looking like a construction site, not the place of peace and tranquility I generally strive for. But I must say, so far, these strapping men are moving at an amazing clip. As I see the precision and care in their work, I can feel excitement rising up to meet the anxiety. It will be fine, I keep telling myself.

Soon, we will have a better placed patio, more soccer ball kicking expanses, and a deeper south facing bed to add more sun loving beauties. Patience is a virtue, right?  *breathe*

My goodness Ms S girl !!!
I am so excited for you too with this happening and the Canning order.. which I am so curious to know what you have ordered !!
I too will be on edge when my landscaper starts working on the garden paths and the new back fence.
It is such a mixture of feelings that you have to brace yourself for when things are torn apart to be put together in a much better way. I see a very pretty butterfly lavender in this picture ! Looks like it has been grown as a standard ? amazing !!
Can't wait to see the end results!!

stressful but SOOO exciting. Great that this is getting done early in the season so you will have plenty of time to enjoy your new patio through the summer. Can't wait to see the final results.

Hi, Mrs. S. This is going to look so cool. It will definitely be worth it. Please show photos when you can. ... Also, thank you for the ID on my rose. I believe you're right that it is ‘Adelaide Hoodless’. I have never heard of it before. I appreciate your knowledge! Have a great weekend.

It will all be fabulous! We had part of our patio rebuilt this spring and my back yard/rain garden looked like a construction site. But once it was done and the mess cleaned up, I just loved it. The chaos was well worth it!

Oh, more space to put planters on. :)

Have planting your new bed, too.

So much fun!! Having a south bed will be nice, most of our yard was full or part shade, but we expanded into a few sunny spots for more variety. Amazing how much more water they need though! Keep us posted. :)

Patience is definitely a virtue when it comes to gardening. Having more space for sun loving beauties and a patio from which to admire them will make all the chaos worthwhile.
